          Since I actually live close to the manufacturer I thought that I would buy local. After reading the other comments I was really expecting a gun cabinet to be of better quality. The assembly was not complicated or hard and the instructions were easy to read. I decided on this unit over the Stack-On because of what I thought were added options that the Stack-On lacked (felt lined holders, electronic lock). The lock is difficult to turn and difficult to pull open. I've had the unit for 2 weeks now and the locked has stopped working all together (even with new batteries). I should have save $80 by buying the Stack-On and not worried about the electronic lock. Do yourself a favor and see one of these units before you purchase it so you won't feel like I do.

                Got this cabinet as a gift for my father in law. It was relatively simple to put together. It is not extremely hearty but for the price it's a decent buy. My only complaint is that the shelf inside isn't completely level and it's not really quality made.

                    This is essentially a locker, sized for long guns, that can be secured from casual access. There is no insulation from fire or humidity.I like it, it was just what I was looking for, and the price was reasonable.[...] Assembly was straightforward, but you may need a rubber mallet to get the sides to fit into their designated slots.Only one negative, hence the 4 stars. There were stains on the top, of some sticky substance, glue or something. It was done at the factory, before packaging. It did scrub off, though. QC should have caught it.
